Finalmente ho terminato di dipingere una parte della libreria.
Ci ho messo un po', ma spero di continuare e di poter finire anche l'altra parte.
E' una vecchia libreria appartenuta alla famiglia di mio marito, era parte dell'arredamento del negozio di libri dei suoi nonni materni.

La libreria è molto vecchia se non ricordo male è degli anni 50 (nel mio disordine appena trovo le foto di come era prima ve le farò vedere).
Qualche anno fa il negozio è andato in pensione e così noi abbiamo portato a casa questa bellissima libreria, ce n'era anche un'altra identica ma più grande, ma per problemi di spazio ho dovuto optare per questa.
Alberto, mio marito gli ha fatto il fondo dietro con le perline, sì perché era aperta, non ha neanche le portiere e quindi gli ho cucito queste tendine. Era di un legno molto scuro e in qualche punto oltre al mordente c'era smalto marrone lucido e punti di stucco bianco. Magari avrei potuto lasciarla tinta legno, ma i ritocchi già esistenti erano troppo in evidenza e così l'ho verniciata di bianco.
E' già piena di cose. Devo affrettarmi a finire perché c'è ancora molto altro da sistemare in casa.

Alberto, my husband did the background behind the beads, so why was open, not even the doors and so I sewed these curtains. It was a very dark wood and at some point over the bite was shiny brown enamel dots of white stucco. Maybe I could leave it plain wood, but the finishing touches were too existing evidence and so I painted white.
It 's already full of things. I must hurry to finish because there is so much more to fix at home.
Quando finirò la parte sopra, che adesso qui manca, dovrò spostare questi splendidi quadretti che mia suocera Gabriella mi ha dipinto, ma che lascerò sempre in questa sala. Mi piacciono tanto, sono immagini di fiori dipinti da lei ( si vede che era un'insegnante di artistica!)

Per abbellire un po' questa porta ho cucito anche una tendina.
